This gorgeous hike on the pacific ocean is easy and flat and suitable and enjoyable by all ages. The cliffs and rock formations are breath taking. Kids love to frolic in the tall grasses and spot the sunning seals. The hike out to the picnic spot is around 40 minutes, but we are flexible and it can be any distance you and your family desire.
This hike is a 40 minute gradual downhill hike through beautiful large redwoods, firs and ferns ending at a wonderful waterfall.
The Redwood Grove is a reserve of virgin old growth redwoods graced by the 25 foot Chamberlain Creek waterfall. This is the most difficult of our hikes with steep sections and hiking boots are recommended, but the grove of redwoods are well worth it. Along the way there is a beautiful spot for relaxation and reflection. The trailhead is 45 minutes from Fort Bragg.
